Aulani trip
Aulani is Disney’s first resort in Hawaii and is scheduled to open this August. If I can make it out there I may be taking a private tour of the resort to report back to my readers but I as a family we decided to wait a year for them to work out the bugs as we have seen with other new properties in Hawaii in the past. They usually take a while to get the staff set up and running efficient but I believe by 2012 things should be working well at the resort. If you are interested in checking out the new property then check out the deal that Magical Vacations has going. They have been working with Aulani on discounted rates since last year and discounts are going to be hard to find. These are the best prices I have seen quoted.
COME WITH MAGICAL VACATIONS TO AULANI – 2012 !
Join Magical Vacations & the Tikifest Ohana as we head to Hawaii in 2012 !
For those of you who have been with us at Tikifest at the Walt Disney World Resort with Steve (aka Tikiman) from the Unofficial Polynesian Resort Pages, we have such a treat planned for you in 2012 !
Magical Vacations has obtained exclusive rates on various room categories at this exclusive Disney tropical paradise !
In addition to special discounted room rates, we will also be putting together a fun activity (optional) for those who would like to get together while at the resort.
Aulani is relaxed yet regal with detailed touches of Disney magic. The white sandy beach, tropical gardens, turquoise lagoons and sparkling waterfalls are just a few highlights of this balmy paradise. Inside the Resort, lava rock rises up through the floor of the grand lobby as dual pools of water cross the expanse: one gently flows with flora while the other rushes wildly through. This Hawaiian philosophy of balance – bright and shadowy, brisk and slow, delicate and coarse – resonates deeply throughout the Resort, which reflects not only the nature of the islands but the spirit of its people.
This 21-acre tropical paradise offers 359 hotel rooms plus 16 suites, 4 restaurants, 2 lounges, 18,000 sq. foot spa, fitness center, whirlpool spas, storytelling firepit, character meet n’ greets, wellness activities, sunset ceremonies and lawn parties. In addition, it boasts recreation facilities that include the 8200 sq. foot Waikolohe Pool, infinity-edge Wailana Pool, and Waikolohe Stream where you can climb into a tube and ride along the banks of a swift stream as you are launched into adventure! On this whimsical waterway, slide past fantastic formations of lava rock and encounter plenty of surprises in the mischievous waters.
For little ones, Menehune Bridge & Trail allows them to romp, stomp, splish and splash in this magical interactive water play area featuring the mischievous menehune, the legendary “little people” of Hawai`i.
Feelling adventurous? Then head to Rainbow Reef where you can swim with many of the animals that live in the salt waters as you snorkel in this enormous, gorgeous manmade lagoon. Snorkel equipment is available for rent.
For those guests who would like the ultimate thrilling encounter, visit the Conservation Pool where you can have an exciting encounter with gentle stingrays – proceeds from this experience benefit various wildlife conservation funds (reservations required).
Island Garden View: $345.93 per night (tax included)
Poolside Garden View: $402.64 per night (tax included)
Partial Ocean View: $425.32 per night (tax included)
Ocean Front: $459.35 per night (tax included)
Parking Fee at resort is also included complimentary for those guests who will have a rental car.
*All room rates are based upon single/double occupancy. Additional persons in room (18 yrs and older) will be charged an additional $25 per person, per night.
The travel period associated with this offer will be between July 7 and 14, 2012. Additional days, if needed, subject to availability at discount rate. The Ratliff’s report
I’ve been to WDW 12 times and had wanted to stay at the Poly since I was a little girl, my husband made my dream come true and the rest is history;
We arrived around 7:30 am and when we pulled up to the Conceirge desk they unloaded the car telling my husband he was not to pick up a bag while
we were there. We were met by front desk manager who told us our room wasnt ready but escorted us to the Hawaii building telling us the history and different facts on the way, he was very very nice and we ended up speaking with him during our 7 day stay many times.
Check in was very smooth and quick and then we were escorted one floor up the the lounge where we got our first breakfast in the lounge, yogurt, otameal, pastries, fruit and coffee. We had heard complaints about the coffee but we had no problems with it.
The rest of the trip was like a dream, we were there for our anniversary and were treated like royalty. They even helped my husband order flower for me from disney florist, brought chocolates to our room and a card.
The food in the lounge was good, the service was wonderful and the entire stay was amazing, we are completley hooked and just cant imagine going back to WDW without staying at the Poly. CL is just an added bonus.
Staying at the Poly made the whole trip easier and more relaxed, from napping in the hammock, to swimming in the quiet pool, to renting mouseboats, to watching fireworks from look out point. We even got up one morning grabbed coffee from the lounge and went to watch the sun rise above the castle! What a difference for the value resorts we were so use to staying at! I cant wait to be back in Sept and share this experience with my two teens!
